Overview
The site is for the shop’s customers, mostly on phones. A customer books, cancels or moves an appointment without calling. The barber app, for the barbers and the manager, is in testing on TestFlight.
The site is plain HTML, CSS and JavaScript modules on GitHub Pages, installable as an app. Bookings go through functions in Supabase Postgres that check the shop’s hours, the barber’s schedule and days off and set the price on the server, and the database refuses a second booking for a slot that is already taken. If the database cannot be reached, the time is not reserved, but the customer can still send the request to the barber by WhatsApp, or by text on a phone, from a prefilled message.
The SwiftUI barber app shows each barber their own schedule and lets them book walk-ins, mark no-shows and set days off. The manager adds and edits barbers there, and the site follows without a deploy. It is on TestFlight, not the App Store. Two parts are built but not live yet. Push notifications for bookings, cancellations and moves wait on an Apple push key. Reminder texts wait on their Edge Function being deployed with a Twilio account, though the booking form already asks for consent.

Also in Fade Empire
No double bookings
The database itself lets only one booking take a slot, even when two people reserve it at the same moment.
Bring friends or kids
Book up to six people in back-to-back slots with the same barber, all at once or not at all.
Cancel or move it yourself
Enter the phone you booked with to see your upcoming bookings, then cancel one or move it to a new time.
